The strategy of Business Development Lucerne is to focus on exploiting available potential in the canton and establish strong business and residential zones. It does so by pursuing three core objectives:

- The canton of Lucerne is a marvellous place to live. Business Development Lucerne is aiming to attract financially well-endowed segments to come and settle in the area.
- Business Development Lucerne directs its attentions to regions that are already well developed or have the potential of developing strongly. By pursuing its objectives thus, Business Development Lucerne is targeting its means and resources on areas that it expects to yield the best results in the long term. Lucerne is growing in appeal and credibility in terms of regional and national competitiveness.
For its profile, Business Development Lucerne relies on its well-known Lucerne brand, and has adopted the same font for its logo as that of Lucerne Tourism. Moreover, both partners have teamed up to address the Premium Business Events target group. The canton thereby benefits from a strong platform and presents a united front as a tourist, conferencing, event, business and residential destination.
